More than 40 years ago, the Model 1100 forever changed the way American shooters viewed autoloading shotguns.
Its superb balance, handling, durability and soft recoil from the gas-operated action are the foundation of the Remington autoloading legacy.
John Moses Browning was a genius of the highest order.
I'd like to know when it was made, can anyone help?? The barrel date code says B o 8 which I assume means Jan/77, this does not make sense being that this rifle was not manufactured after 1962.
Any help identifying the date would be greatly appreciated.
The barrel is blued, has no rib features a brass bead and is 28 inches long.
They resumed stamping the date code on the barrel on 10/1/01. It says it does, but I find no codes stamped on my barrel that look like what's described here.
